Arrived yesterday 9:00 p.m. local time at my cousins's place, tired but happy to finally be here after a 24 hrs trip (6 hrs stop at Amman and 1 hr stop-over in Bangkok). Arriving at night at KL is great, not too hot (still 28 degrees) and you are not somehow up to immediately start exploring the city. So we took the chance to get ourselves acclimated at my cousin's place at Petaling Jaya (4 train stops from the city center, but still a 1 hr ride), talked to my cousin for hours, which is great as I haven't seen her for 4 years, and planned what to do the next day. We decided to start our tour in KL at the tourism office, which in fact was a good idea to get city maps and hints where to go. So we started off at the Petronas Towers and its beautiful park, visited KL Tower, Merdeka Square and China Town. All at 32 degreed. Took us half a day due to the size of the city (which is in fact quite big). Ride home was quite an experience as we took the train at rush hour. How stupid is that! The train was so crowded, we almost feared to get squashed!!! We ended the first day with a nice swim in the pool and a decent shower. Great!

ReplyDeleteJa KL ist ganz nett - lustigerweise leben eigentlich nicht sehr viel Leute dort....
Schauts auch zum Fernsehturm und machts dort den flying fox - falls es den noch gibt :-))
waren schon dort, den flying fox gibt es glaub ich nimma... aber uns wird schon noch ein anderer bloedsinn einfallen... lg aus KL

ReplyDeleteHallo Joerg, gut aufgepasst ;-) Es ist eine richtige reise, aber ich versuche diese ja mit Worten und Bildern zu dokumentieren, daher der Name...Dachte Word und World, dieser Konnex laesst sich gut herstellen und trifft's eigentlich ganz gut.
